If you’re struggling to find variation, how about;
Sun: hamburgers (variations using pork, beef, lamb, fish, vegetarian and spices, so could have lamb kofta hamburgers with feta cheese, pork hamburgers with dill and Swedish gravy etc).
Mon: chicken dish (try new things with chicken – parmigiana, chicken thighs stuffed with stuffing, blue cheese OR mozzarella, wrapped in bacon) with different vegetables and potatoes (mashed, roasted, dauphenoise, chips, fondant etc).
Tues: pasta (spaghetti bolognaise, carbonara, pesto, lemon/garlic, tomato/olive/anchovy, macaroni/cauliflower cheese, mince and gravy).
Thurs: breadwinner suggested meal (make them suggest meals!)
Fri: takeout-inspired or international meal (Chinese, Indian, fish and chips, tex mex, Italian/pizza, Mediterranean, fried kitchen, mezze, Greek etc)
Weekend: why not have a vegetarian day?
